Ken Mehlman

(New York) joined KKR in 2008 and is Global Head of Public Affairs. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Mehlman was a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld with a bi-partisan practice in legislative and regulatory counseling. He previously served in high-level positions on Capitol Hill and at the White House, including serving as Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Campaign Manager of President Bush's successful re-election campaign. Mr. Mehlman graduated with a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Mr. Mehlman is a trustee of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Franklin & Marshall College, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Enterprise Institute's National Council, serves on the Robin Hood Veterans Advisory Board and is a member of the boards of directors at the American Foundation for Equal Rights and the IDEAL School of Manhattan, and a member on the Senior Advisory Committee of the Harvard University Institute of Politics.
