Thomas Kim

Thomas Kim (Menlo Park) joined KKR Capstone in 2010 and is Managing Director & Global Risk Manager. Mr. Kim is responsible for the KKR Capstone Risk & Insurance Programs, which include leadership and oversight of insurance optimization across KKR and KKR’s investments globally, innovation and execution of KKR’s proprietary cross-portfolio insurance programs, global insurance due diligence, and management of KKR’s ecosystem of insurance companies and brokers. Mr. Kim has two decades of in-house private equity experience, having previously worked at Cerberus Capital Management as an Operations Executive. He holds a JD from Loyola Law School, an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, and a BS with Honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Mr. Kim is active in non-profits focused on mentoring students from underserved communities.
