On November 1, 2018, The Deal, a global media and digital intelligence organization, announced their annual awards recognizing leadership in cross-border deal making. KKR’s acquisition of Unilever’s Spreads business, which we announced in December 2017 and closed in July 2018, received the award for Private Equity Deal of the Year, honoring the “most exemplary transaction involving a private equity firm as either the main investor, buyer or seller.”
This transaction is an excellent example of the power of our one-firm approach as multiple teams and regions across KKR contributed to this effort, and we congratulate all who played a role. We look forward to building on this positive momentum as we continue our work with the company.
