Through our KKR Cares initiative, we leverage the skills, expertise and energy of the KKR team to support communities around the globe. We do this through an employee matching gift program, nonprofit board service, paid time off to volunteer in communities, and pro bono technical support programs where our teams provide skill and training to nonprofits and social enterprises.

Our strategic philanthropy program provides support for small businesses and social enterprises, opportunity youth and opportunity talent, civil servants, and other communities where we operate through grants to nonprofit organizations focused on our two strategic pillars:

Rebuilding our communities

Empowering the KKR team

KKR offers employees 40 hours a year of paid volunteer time to support nonprofits. Team members have used their hours to rebuild housing in areas affected by disasters, support food security programs, mentor youth and job seekers, and many other initiatives.
Supporting students

KKR and Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, launched the Accelerator Scholars Program for Cornell students who are the first in their family to attend college. This unique program offers a comprehensive four-year curriculum intended to provide enhanced support, resources, and opportunities to help bolster students’ skill set and experience. It will focus on professional and life skills, mentorship, coaching, networking, and relationship-building, all designed to prepare Dyson and Nolan Hotel School undergraduate students for success. Dyson and Nolan schools represent two of the three schools within the SC Johnson College.
Rebuilding our communities

In 2021, we helped our shared communities in their ongoing efforts to rebuild and recover from the reverberating effects of the pandemic.
