Jim Lees (New York) joined KKR in 2021 and is a Managing Director, focusing on sourcing and originating opportunities for private credit and asset based investments in financial institutions and financial assets. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Lees was a managing director in the asset backed finance business at Wells Fargo Securities, where he focused on originating new client opportunities with finance companies and financial sponsors. Previously, Mr. Lees held various roles in the securitization businesses of HSBC and CIBC World Markets. He is a former U.S. Naval Officer and holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
