Lucian Schönefelder (Hong Kong) is a Partner at KKR and leads KKR’s technology investing activities across Asia, where he focuses on both growth-stage and late-stage technology investments. Mr. Schönefelder joined KKR in 2007. Prior to his move to Asia, he was a Partner in KKR’s London office focused on both growth equity and private equity technology investments across Europe and Israel. Mr. Schönefelder has played an important role in KKR’s investments in Axel Springer, Trainline, Scout24 Switzerland, Fotolia, BMG Rights Management, Outsystems, Ivalua, Darktrace, GetYourGuide, Optimal+, Clicktale/ContentSquare, and ProSiebenSat.1. He is currently serving on the board of Optimal+, and also serves as a member of KKR’s Growth Equity Investment Committee and Portfolio Management Committee. He additionally spent one year with KKR Capstone, where he worked on various assignments at ProSiebenSat.1. Before joining KKR, Mr. Schönefelder worked in the M&A department of J.P. Morgan in London. He holds a MSc in Finance as well as a PhD (summa cum laude) from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
