KKR 40 for 40 – Year One Recap

July 2017

Our employees around the world are directly involved in their communities, volunteering their time, talent, and expertise to countless nonprofit organizations. From ongoing volunteer commitments to engagements as board members or advisors, KKR employees donate thousands of hours to community projects and organizations across the world each year.

In 2016, we launched KKR 40 for 40, an employee driven volunteer program, to celebrate KKR's 40th anniversary and to give back to the many communities that have given so much to our Firm. The program grants employees 40 hours of paid time to volunteer at community projects and nonprofit organizations that are meaningful to them. Through 40 for 40, employees can structure their time how best suits them and can give hours to any number of nonprofits.

In the last year, during our anniversary celebration, employees took time to give back to others in the same spirit of partnership, teamwork, and excellence that has built our Firm. More than 550 employees have participated in 40 for 40 since its launch, committing over 6,200 hours to more than 120 organizations around the world. Given the success of the program, the firm has decided to extend the 40 for 40 program, giving employees the opportunity to continue to serve their communities in an ongoing and meaningful way.
