Gio Onate (Miami) joined KKR in 2022 and serves as Head of the Institutional Business for Latin America (ex-Brazil) and Head of Mexico within the Global Client Solutions team. Before joining KKR, Mr. Onate was a senior vice president and head of Mexico at PIMCO. Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years at BlackRock, where he most recently led the institutional business in Mexico. He began his professional career in the Latin America and offshore businesses at Merrill Lynch and Lord Abbett. Mr. Onate holds a B.B.A. from Baruch College and an M.B.A. from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
