James Blackwell

James Blackwell (Sydney) joined KKR in 2024 and is General Counsel for Australia and Head of Legal for the Infrastructure business in Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Blackwell was an associate general counsel with Australian investment manager, QIC, where he was responsible for the legal coverage of private equity and infrastructure businesses globally. Prior to joining QIC, he was with Investec Bank and DLA Piper in London where he had a broad banking, finance and projects practice. He currently sits on the board of two companies in the Australian & New Zealand wine industry. He received a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business at Queensland University of Technology
