During KKR’s investment in C.H.I. Overhead Doors, a garage door manufacturing company based in Michigan, the value creation plan includes a broad-based employee ownership program in which all 800 employees participated. In addition to boosting employee engagement, the program enhanced the company’s performance and created substantial gains for KKR’s investors and employees when we exited the company in 2022.
