Ari Frankel

Ari Frankel (New York) joined KKR in 2022 and is a member of the KKR Capstone team. He focuses on driving decarbonization and other key aspects of KKR’s climate-related work across its Americas Private Equity business and related investment strategies. Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Frankel was head of ESG at Solebury Trout, where he advised companies on ESG governance, strategy, goal-setting, reporting, communications, investor relations, and fundraising. He has previously worked at Alexandria Real Estate Equities, where he chaired the NAREIT sustainability committee, and was a founding member of the Fitwel Leadership Advisory Board. Prior to Alexandria, Mr. Frankel was the head of ESG strategy for real estate at Deutsche Asset Management, where he served as the North America co-chair of UNEP-FI, and worked with the Ceres Investor Network on climate risk and sustainability. Mr. Frankel is on the Board of Directors for the Center for Active Design. Mr. Frankel received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a LEED-AP, a Fitwel Ambassador, a Climate Reality Leader, and holds a Level I FSA Credential from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
