Tong Chen
Director
Tong Chen (Shanghai) joined KKR Capstone in 2019, and supports KKR portfolio companies across the Asia Pacific region. He works with investment teams to assess impact of technology, and value creation opportunities via digital transformation. Dr. Chen has worked on many of KKR's investments in the technology, consumer, and retail sectors, including ByteDance, XingSheng, Quanyi Pharmacy, ZJLD, NVCC, Huohua logic, Walnut Programming, Adopt a Cow, Moody, and Cue & Co. Prior to joining Capstone, Dr. Chen was with McKinsey & Company as an associate partner in the Greater China digital and analytics practice leadership. Dr. Chen holds dual B.S. degrees in Physics and Statistics from Peking University, an M.S. in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology.
