Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Harnessing diverse perspectives in an inclusive culture

Having employees with varied backgrounds, perspectives, skills, and experiences helps strengthen our teams and our investment decisions.  We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment and maintaining a talent pipeline that is representative of the investors we serve, the companies and stakeholders with whom we engage, and of our communities.

Leadership & Governance

DEI requires the right governance model to ensure longevity and drive outcomes. Driving progress in our efforts toward a more diverse workforce starts at the top. KKR’s Inclusion & Diversity Council (IDC) is led by senior Firm leaders and co-chaired by our Co-CEOs and our Chief Diversity Officer and Head of Talent Development.  To ensure a truly global approach and perspective, we also have regional councils in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, which are collectively comprised of approximately 30 executives at various levels across the Firm, to help drive recruiting, promote retention, and maximize external partnerships.

Our Employee Resource Groups support the work of the IDC, enhance collaboration, and strengthen the sense of community and belonging throughout the firm.

  • DEI in our portfolio

In January 2023, we hosted an event focused on DEI for 25 human capital leaders from our European portfolio. The agenda featured discussions on building an inclusive culture and leadership, recruiting for diversity, and setting up effective DEI programs. This event was one of a number of virtual and physical events to facilitate connections and peer learning among European HR and DEI leaders.
